I aged two years last night

Traditionally, people in Korea (and other East Asian countries) reckon their ages differently to us in the West. A newborn baby is one year old, and from then on, a person's age is incremented on New Years Day, rather than on his birthday. This means that a baby born in December 2005 would be classed as two years old in the first week of January. It also means that I'm now 26.

26(!) and I remember at school because your birthday was before the new year and mine after it made you seem a lot older then me.. I remember one year saying "wow, you're 16 next year!" Even though you were only 14 at the time, lol.
